Impressionist Art - Shelagh the Roo and Kiki Shanji the Eastern Dragon

What better way to explore themes and concepts than with an impressionist art movement and sensibility. Speaking of which this style will defiantly be featured in the comic in a more tonal way, well it probably already is, but the reason behind this interest is the discovery of a more complex emotional or aesthetic influences and sensitivity in approach.  I have always liked this way of creating art and for me I really like extreme aspect of the unknown and mystery in art, that is what will capture fans and attention, instead of my basic drawings/sketches which is very common on DA.  A recent character reference/practice sheet I have devised because I felt I needed to draw this character on his own. Spaceman Michael and the Sorkon Raiders

      Zappow! A blast of neutron energy bounced off the bow deck plates of Captain Michael Clifford’s space cruiser.       “Sorkon raiders! Commander Lancelot, defensive plan 3-5-1,”       Captain Michael gave the order to his second in command. He could not afford to lose his ship, the GS Skookum Apples . His cargo was too precious. Captain Michael had been assigned the most dangerous and important job ever issued to any captain in the Galactic Services.
