Hi Guys! Andrew the Bee here with a picture from my artist buddy, Cliff !  He's been tryin' to get Wendy to pose for him, so he whipped up this thing to show how much talent he's got! La Grande Bla-Bla, by Cliff! Turns out Cliff just copied it from this French Guy, J. A. D. Ingres , who lived so long ago that his stuff is now public domain !  Here's the picture that Cliff was looking at: La Grande Odalisque , by Jean-Auguste Dominique Ingres, Paris, Louvre The funny thing about Ingres is that he didn't care about drawing people right !  That's why Cliff likes him so much -- He's a great inspiration for guys who don't know anatomy !  'Course Ingres sure as heck knew how to draw -- He was just fudging things to make his people look good ! Cliff's an alright guy, but he ain't much of an artist .   I sure hope Wendy tells him to take a hike ! "I paint what I feel, baby!" *******

The Hybrid! Staff Is Working Hard For YOU

Image
The beginning of another busy day at the offices of Hybrid!, the cutting edge online artist's co-op that actually cares about standards and some kind of decency, in spite of the bunny's total lack of work ethics or morality.  Andrew the Bee encourages him in his J. Jonah Jameson delusion because it keeps him out of the way. In the hall an aspiring artist grasps her submissions, bundled in hope and praying for an acceptance, unaware that Billy is starting to clutch at straws and is beginning to speak lightly of artwork that is banned even in San Francisco and Tijuana. Busy as a bee is not just an expression in this office.  As Screwtape would say, Andy's job is not putting ideas into the bunny's head but keeping them out. How it's done, a rare glimpse at the inception of comic excellence.  Yes, Hybrid! is the thinking ma... animal's go-to magazine for all your anthro artwork needs! https://www.deviantart.com/andibi How doth the

Balto fan art

Image
Well this is some old art I did in 1995 right after the first Balto movie came out. I drew Muk and Luk the polar bears a little too big but it was my first try at these characters. One of my favorite non-Disney movies.

Bunny Sandwich, With Steel

This is one tough lion.  Flamma will never walk right again, and Ferro might lose his right arm.  But the lion is as good as dead, poor thing.  He is a slave also and a very peaceful person.  New Rome is a horrible society.  It is a crime against nature that one of these rabbits is a bloodthirsty nutjob who is completely self absorbed and concerned only for the intense sexual thrill he gets from killing.   Maybe all that limping will teach him some humility, but I very much doubt it. https://misterscribbles.blogspot.com/

At long last, I’ve finished the commission! It’s quite large— 24” by 36”. All that needs doing now is framing...whenever that can happen in these circumstances. I like it better than the one I did for myself that hangs in my living room. It’s been a long time coming, but between working from home, school, and trying to get my kid doing his online coursework I’m busier than ever and have to snatch time when I can! https://mythopedia.com/chinese-mythology/gods/sun-wukong/     https://www.deviantart.com/gregsbird   Tremble and Obey!

Hi There! An Introduction

Image
My real name is Sherry but my artist name is Flapper Foxy-or Foxy Flapper on some sites! I am thrilled to be a part of this blog on furry/anthro art. I have been drawing "furries"-or cartoon animals as they were known "back then"-since I was about 12. I am influenced by animation art, fashion, and history. My first big influence was going to Disney movies. I saw Lady and the Tramp when I was about 8 and the animal characters blew my mind! I can draw cartoon humans too but there's something about animal characters that is more appealing. I am not a professional artist but that doesn't keep me from drawing! I have included  a YouTube video if you would like to watch! Thanks!! I

Audrey and Ulfred

Image
Her eyes widened as she realized who it was that addressed her in such friendly tones.   Magick-workers were not to be trusted and this one had a particularly unsettling reputation.   Moreover, he was a wolf. Ugh -- Wolves.   Even the best of them were problematic… always howling at the moon and trying to eat people.   But take your average wolf and add to him a little brains and an unhealthy appetite for knowledge…   Then you had something like Magister Ulfred, Pack Wizard of Dinnsward.   Half genius, half fool, his own people were at a loss as to what to make of him.   He was incapable of stalking his own tail, but he could maze the strongest alpha with his bizarre magicks.   Among these was his fearful soul-box, a devilish contraption that imprisoned the victim’s soul in a fragile pane of glass.   It was said that Magister Ulfred kept a secret cabinet filled with stolen souls, any one of which he could shatter in an instant if he so chose.   Fool or no, it was good policy t

Flying Furries!

Image
Fan art of a forgotten Rankin/Bass cartoon from 1972 that featured canine characters as World War 1 pilots. It had little to do with the real Red Baron or World War 1 history, but focused on a "kidnapped" princess. If only Studio Ghibli could get the rights to remake this as a movie, I feel they could do a fantastic job with it (think of Porco Rosso)! Although a cheaply made cartoon as most studios were doing at the time, the canine characters were a cute idea.   https://cartoonresearch.com/index.php/the-japanese-studios-of-rankinbass/ Flapper Foxy is one of the best anthro artists in the world today.  And, she makes videos of great skill, superb in every way. https://youtu.be/jVvF27TGr7o     https://www.deviantart.com/flapperfoxy Hotcha!

Happy Mother's Day!

Image
To all my fellow mothers out there. Happy Mother’s Day! May your brunches be messy and delicious; May your flowers be slightly bedraggled from anxious, sweaty little fists; and may all your chicks give you hugs—virtual or in real life! (Bunny note - This lovely Mother's Day post is not a week late but a year early). https://www.deviantart.com/gregsbird Mothers are the invention of necessity.

Nakusa the Misfit

Image
Hey Guys! I'm back with another stirring tale by Mercenary Blade !   If you like anthro action and classic pulp thrills , then this is exactly what you've been looking for !  In an alternate universe set in the 1930s, mercenary hero Captain Sphinx has rescued and recruited a band of genetically engineered anthro warriors !  Together, the Misfit Squadron devote themselves to fighting crime and oppression wherever they rear their ugly heads !  So fasten your seatbelt as we follow the day's doings of one Nakusa the She-Wolf as she and her pals hand down some comeuppance to a pack of hard-boiled thugs! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nakusa planted her feet in the sand as she readied her spear. She was a dark gray furred wolf. All around, the crowd cheered her on, while steely eyed human guards kept their rifles at the ready. Her opponent, a grizzled bobcat hissed at her
