Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, With Cats

Image
With Mischa. Minus Mischa. I guess this is iconic.  I don't like this draft dodging spoiled little bastard. https://youtu.be/Xe60Oru9j-E https://youtu.be/Xe60Oru9j-E This poster is by the Verkerke company and is signed Alex or possibly Alexo.  I cannot find it in the company catalog or on google images.  I think this was a real score, surely I can locate the artist to give him/her credit.  But did find a cool site while looking for info- How appropriate, I take my second guitar lesson Monday.  I gave up on trying to learn on my own, I had fun, but I can not play. (2017). Photo by Paul Mansley.  The site is tinybunnywoman, check it out. http://tinybunnywoman.livejournal.com/?skip=225 Found him!  His name is Alex Rinesch and he was geboren in Wien 1955.  Seems to be pretty successful. Alex Rinesch. Gee, I like him already.

Camping with Tony

Image
Hi Guys! I'm back with a quick post about our favorite frosted cornflakes mascot, Tony the Tiger !  Seems that back in the 1960s , Kellogg's supplied quite a few summer camps with boxed breakfast cereal .  I'm willing to bet that for a lot of kids, camp would have been their first exposure to this amazing sugar-coated stuff !  Heck , I'm sure it beat oatmeal all hollow ! Kellogg's was smart enough to figure this out and so they made sure that all those campers had a ready supply of free "the food is gr-r-reat" postcards to send back to their cereal-buying parents !  Pretty smooth if you ask me! The odd thing about this particular postcard, however, is that it was sent not in the 1960s , but in 1987 .  And the sender was not a kid, but a senior citizen !  Oh, and it wasn't sent from summer camp , but from something called the Mansfield University Elder Hostel !  It seems that around that time, Mansfield University in Pennsylvania offere

Mayhem Of The Corridors

Image
He's back and he's inside now, where it's warm!    Some kind of furry, anyway. I love the hair, I grew up thinking Shaft was the coolest guy on the planet. https://www.deviantart.com/leothefox It's been a while since we have had new work from this fantastic artist, glad to see him back.  And- I have no idea what's going on in these pictures, but we got the welcome mat out for all great furry art, so deal with it.

A Small Problem

Image
For the past few weeks no comments could be posted, and this is still going on.  The editors of this blog have contacted blogger repeatedly and have received no answers.  It may be that the problem is on their end, it may be that we just don't know how to fix the setting, it may be that blogger doesn't give a damn and is too big to be bothered.  After all, they shut us down and put up a deceptive malware warning after I wrote an essay stating that Tony the Tiger wasn't gay. ( https://misterscribbles.blogspot.com/2021/05/theyre-thaaaat-way.html ).  We are considering moving to WordPress, something I don't want to do. Anyway, we are trying to get comments enabled.  If anyone has any ideas please contact me or Andibi, I ain't proud and would love to fix this glitch. https://www.deviantart.com/bonkersbunny https://www.deviantart.com/andibi

Sands Of The Kalahari, Original Ending

Image
The ending from one of my favorite books.  Here O'Brien, the super survivor, takes out the head baboon and becomes the top predator in a valley with water.  He has a rifle but saves using it for emergencies, he makes a wrench work just dandy.  Presented in BunnyVision©.  I have done this before but I'm not happy with it.     Sands Of The Kalhari , William Mulvihill.  My favorite of all my pictures in spite of the many flaws.  This is the book ending of Sands of the Kalahari, which I saw as a young teen.  This is just the sort of thing that turned me into a hopeless romantic as far as adventure is concerned.  Here Billy is sexy and dangerous, having killed the alpha baboon that he shares the valley with.  I drew the tail far too large, I liked the sweep of the lines.  People on FurAffinity said my rabbit looked more like a horse, speaking of driving people into the desert to die of thirst at gunpoint.  The movie has a different ending but is still dynamite action
