The Tortoise And The Hare by Ray Harryhausen
Anthro genius from the man himself, Ray Harryhausen. A 1952 Fables Films, completed in 2002.
I probably don't need to explain what's going on here, do I?
I just love Bunnehz With Attitude!
Goodbye, Ray, you sure are missed.
Oh, and a tip of the ol' hat to Aesop, murdered by the priests of Delphi. A slave whose stories are a cultural touchstone to this day.
(I doubt the Delphi story but it makes a much better post than relating that Aesop became a rich and valuable advisor to the King).

Hear him.

This is all bullshit anyway, rabbits always win.
Very cool -- I never knew that he did anything beyond "Jason and the Argonauts!"
ReplyDeleteOh, dear. Did you see the first 'Clash of the Titans'?
DeleteThe '80s movie? I think I missed that one, though I remember it got a lot of press back in the day.
DeleteNot his best. He retired after that, and then came out of retirement for this one. The skeleton fight in Jason seems to have affected everyone who ever saw it, I know Sam Raimi dug it! (even as a kid I wondered how you could kill a belligerent skeleton by stabbing it). https://youtu.be/BfedvthepRs I read that this took 4 or 5 months to animate.
