Super Heroes, Super Stories!

Action Bunny to the rescue!  Having done his good deed for the day, a thoroughly pleased Action Bunny will watch the sun go down from his front porch, drinking red wine from an old Slurpee cup until he passes out in full view of the neighbors and their children, pants and soiled underwear in a heap around his ankles.  People will be able to hear him snore even on the other side of the street and will have to keep their windows closed with the curtains drawn, the cops are tired of dealing with this rabbit and dislike so much as even touching him, never mind loading the damp, pungent, barely conscious rodent into their squad cars.  Just another day for Action Bunny!

This is as far as I got with my faux comic idea, Danger Rabbit!  I based Danger's look on Pat Dempsey, Man O'Metal, a truly retarded golden age superhero concept.  When Pat has a bucket of molten iron drop on him, he is transformed into an unstoppable white hot metal man, blue in color.  As such he only wears shoes and blue jeans.  Pat was drawn by H. G. Peter, who brought Wonder Woman to the world. Danger Rabbit usually goes about barefoot or in saddle shoes.  Here he is saving some fox kid.  In my version of the furry world species do not willingly mix as all the Clans feel superior to all the others.   Danger Rabbit is at the low end of anyone's esteem and has few friends and no family.  Animal prejudice has nothing to do with coloration and everything to do with smell, social groups, and hierarchy.  While the parents will be very happy to have their kid back alive they cannot fathom why a stranger would risk his life to save some child he does not know.
Danger Rabbit is trying to buy his way out of certain damnation although he knows very well that is not how things work on the other side.

  2. Thanks for the links, awesome. The Red Rabbit looks like Dan Gordon but I cannot find a connection to him.

    1. Probably written and drawn by both Harvey Eisenberg and Joseph Barbera when they were moonlighting as 'Dearfield Publishing Co.', a self-published line of comics that also included Foxy Fagan.

    2. That was very need to know, never heard of Dearfield although I sure know who Barbera is. Thanks. Oh, how do you get links published on here? It don't work for me.

    3. I just use brute-force HTML. w3schools has a good, basic page on links. My old web-page sideline was called Bruin Forge, by the way, because I forged links by brute force.

    4. Thanks, I will see if I can figure this out. Very much appreciated, Bruin Forge is a great name.

  3. Excellent! Action Bunny has potential (so does Danger Rabbit, but I like AB better). Is he Hero or Bum? We need to see more!

    1. Action Bunny thinks he is the cat's meow, to mix metaphors some. He needs a Twilight Zone style lesson, but more probably someone will kill him after they find him passed out in their living room when they get home from the movies.

    2. He's like the Drunken Master, but maybe better!
