Noir-Anthro Style!

Image
This is a great book series by P C Hatter (Stacy Bender.) It features the adventures of Kaiser Wrench,a 1940's era tiger detective. The cover art by Caribou and the book by Hatter are done in classic 1940's noir style. I can see these as classic movie posters! "If you need me,just whistle-you know how to whistle, don't you?" They're all a great read-check them out!

Standing Room Only

The phenomenon that is One Freak Leaves is here for tonight only.  Get your tickets now, they're going fast!  Thousands Of Dead Chipmunks has just returned from their smash whirlwind Asian tour, and Diaper Warrior has made bail and should be there more or less on time, bondsmen permitting.  Here's what the critics are saying: 'One of the two or three bands...' The Chicago Sun Times 'Beyond belief'.  The Christian Science Monitor 'Fascinating'. Siezure - The European Journal of Epilepsy 'I told you so'. Oswald Spengler. ' Merciful Jesus '. Rolling Stone (The Beehive is not responsible for hearing loss, airborne viruses, outraged Republicans or the rabbit's behavior on stage).  'Bee' there or be square! I Thought I Was Being Original

Image
A while back I got tired of the name Billy Scribbles, which I used to add some personality to the appellation Mister Scribbles.  I took the name Mister Scribbles because it was the first vaguely pencil sketch name Blogger would let me have.  Now I find out the the name I prefer using, Billy D Bunny, inspired by the impotent general in Dr. Strangelove, has been used in one form or the other for quite some time. Billy Bunny, 1954.     https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=76260      1921.  What the fuck is going on here?  That's a mouse .  I think we're seeing a criminal conspiracy! June, 1954.  Thus Ajax Farrell comics celebrates the fall of Dien Bien Phu.  This would be General Navarre in action. Oh, and Farrell Comics was the first to publish Steve Ditko. This incredibly angst ridden cover is from 1919.  I think this Billy is about to die, and horribly at that. A Billy Bunny...
