An Immortal Poem

Image
The  Antiseptic Baby and the Prophylactic Pup  Were playing in the garden when the Bunny gamboled up;  They looked upon the Creature with a loathing undisguised;—  It wasn't Disinfected and it wasn't Sterilized.    They said it was a Microbe and a Hotbed of Disease;          They steamed it in a vapor of a thousand-odd degrees;  They froze it in a freezer that was cold as Banished Hope  And washed it in permanganate with carbolated soap.    In sulphurated hydrogen they steeped its wiggly ears;  They trimmed its frisky whiskers with a pair of hard-boiled shears;    They donned their rubber mittens and they took it by the hand  And elected it a member of the Fumigated Band.    There's not a Micrococcus in the garden where they play;  They bathe in pure iodoform a dozen times a day;  And each imbibes his rations from a Hygienic Cup—    The Bu...

Br'er Rabbit Br'er Donkey Takes The Load No title but I don't see this working out for Br'er Fox. Someone is about to be outwitted. The rabbit clan prepares a monster. Rabbit's have the best taste in footwear. Whistle for it, bub. A pack of lies, I'm sure. A team effort. Dirty work afoot. A heartless ruse. The little dog laughed to see such sport... This fox just doesn't seem to get it. Br'er Rabbit And The Hard Water. Tricked again! After a small grey rabbit there chased a big red fox; he tried to reach and grab it and put it in his box but hopping down a rabbit hole, the rabbit got away. "Ho! Ho!", it laughed, "Too slow, old fox. No lunch for you today".    They say that there was a time when El-ahrairah and his followers lost all their luck. Their enemies drove them out and they were forced to live down in the marshes of Kelfazin. Now where the marshes of Kelfazin may be I do not know, but at the time when El-ahrairah and hi...

A Fortunate Fox

Image
Billy hasn't seen his friend Fontane Fox for years.  Today they went out to the Bob Hall fishing pier in Port Aransas, but as soon as they got set up Fontane said he forgot something and went back to the parking lot.  A few minutes later he returned and said he knew of a better place to fish than the pier.  Billy was surprised when they drove to a very out of the way old wharf.  It seems that Fontane found a bunch of watches and wallets just laying around! As slow as Billy is, he is only now wondering about where the fox has been all this time.

Disney's America Sings

Image
This is a attraction at Disney World that is sadly no longer there. I never got to see it myself but it featured animatronic animals that related the history of American music.  It starts out from the early days of America up to the early 1970's-pretty much a big era of music to fit into a 20 minute show! The concept art -mostly by the great Disney artist Marc Davis-is fantastic~ Love this one!~ It's too bad Disney didn't turn this into a animated film~it would have been great!
